From Brokeback to Don't Panic

Paul JJ Payack is the top dog at Global Language Monitor, and he has just published his annual list of the Top Hollywood Words of the Year. I'm no Fluff Freeman, so just take the list as it is.

1. Brokeback - as in Mountain
2. Brangelina - Mr. and Mrs. Prettyface
3. Petronoia - from Syriana
4. Tuxedo - in reference to March of the Penguins (snore)
5. Pimping - via Hustle and Flow
6. Milk Money - courtesy of Cinderella Man
7. Dostoevskian - somehow (?) derived from Revenge of the Sith
8. Tepid - in reference to 2005's movie season overall (Grump. 2005 was the best year in cinema yet!)
9. The Inklings - ala The Chronicles of Narnia
10. Don't Panic - as seen on the cover of The Hitchhiker's Guide

What a silly list. What on earth is he basing it on? Whatever it is, he must have just added number 7 on a whim as nothing - NOTHING - will bear that one out.

Last year's "winner" was Pinot, re: Sideways, and the year before, Wardrobe Malfunction, re: Janet Jackson's tit.
