Who Banned Roger Rabbit
A bizarre new content order for Chinese film and television has been issued by their government. It forbids the production of any new live action/animation combination projects - such as Mary Poppins, say, or Who Framed Roger Rabbit - or, for that matter, Polar Express or Monster House, I would imagine.
The order stated "These human live-action, so-called animation pieces will not receive distribution or distribution licenses".
Let's not forget that Babe was banned in China also, which, according to Variety, was because "animals can't talk and some viewers would be confused".
