On Set Snaps From McG's We Are Marshall

Courtesy of the On Location With Rick Lee blog, here are some snaps from the set of We Are Marshall. There are plenty more where these came from, too.

I honestly think McG did a great, great job with both Charlie's Angels films, elevating them above the kind of pap Michael Bay or Tony Scott shovel out through, quite simply, better craftsmanship - as well as a pervasive abandonment to kitsch fun. The motocross sequence in the second, in particular, shows a great sense of rhythm, effective staging, smooth editing and a smart use of thrusting action kinetcs, for which I'd rank McG alongside Ridley Scott, Tsui Hark and Sammo Hung in the second tier of action directors and choreographers.

The Angels movies were Pop-Rock flavoured Disco movies, and thinking about them now, I make it about time for a re-watch.
