What's Really The Deal With Iron Man?

Jeff Pidgeon found the above Iron Man poster (click it to big it up) and popped it on his blog. I followed the url at the bottom of the poster to find a parked domain, and sniffed about to turn up these registration details:

Fertic, Benjamin ben@ironmanlive.com 43309 US Hwy 19 N Tarpon Springs, FL 34688 US 7279424767 Fax: 7279421987

A creative cybersquatter going so far as to fake a teaser one-sheet? Who volunteers to give him a call and find out?

UPDATE: One film ick reader has taken the trouble to dig just the tiny amount necessary to prove that the URL on the poster isn't yet associated with any Iron Movie, but with running shoes. Of course, now the mystery is gone and we can see this is a fake, most likely a fake built from an Adi Grandov comic cover, we can at least appreciate it for what it is.

Okay, I admit it - I knew nothing about the direct to video Iron Man animation coming later this year.

Now I do.

That's certainly not the poster for the animated Iron Man, though.

IMDB say that Nick Cassavetes is directing a live-action version...

Riddle solved. It has nothing to do with Shellhead but rather to do with some rather advanced sports tracking gear.

And I got that by running his name through Google. Not the biggest investigative journalist, are we? :-)

Wasn't it more fun for you to put the last piece of the puzzle in place yourself?
