Seeview Promotions think that adding a primitive bit of viewmaster functionality to a DVD box is going to usher in a new generation of special edition packaging, adding "memorable sequences for... customers to laugh, cheer, and collect for a lifetime… all without batteries or electricity".

The image above is of something that will be incorporated, somehow, in the box. Glued ont he bottom, possibly.

They're pitching the device as "finally, a way to stand out on a crowded shelf and let customers preview your DVD before they buy it" - if, of course, your DVD contains a handful of still stereovision images.
