The character of Renee Montoya is to appear in The Dark Knight, and auditions have been taking place. How do I know?

In the cartoon she was Sgt. Bullock's partner, and in contrast to him thought of batman as a great help.
Cult favourite character. Introduced in the Dini/Timm cartoons, then entered the comicbook canon, was outed as a lesbian while being courted/groomed by Two Face, and ended up part of the cast of the really quite good GOTHAM CENTRAL title. Looks like she'll end up being Vic Sage's successor as the new The Question in current DC continuity.
Which is all kinds of stupid. Really.
