The Slusho Site

So, the Ethan Hass puzzles are apparently completely unrelated to the Cloverfield/1-18-08 film.

They are linked to Paramount it seems, as Paramount have had clips from the game pages pulled from YouTube. So people can be forgiven for getting so deep into that puzzle - there was a pretty solid piece of evidence.

The chap who revealed the sites to me in the first place feels 'dumb' now. I wouldn't - there were many, many rumblings about the two being connected, and plenty of linking factors.

But there is another site online that is directly linked... a site promoting Slusho, a drink we first saw in Alias and has now popped up in the 1-18-08 trailer.

I've put a picture at the bottom of this post revealing the Slusho logo in the trailer, and below that, a Slush desktop for you.

So, what's going on with this site? Unsuprisingly, it pretends to be Japanese, at least to some extent, but it clearly isn't; it offers some downloads, an e-mail address that you can contact to answer the question "Are you HAPPY?" and a 'History' page.

There are plenty of suggestions on that page that we're dealing with a sea monster here, and possibly one created by pollution of some kind. Have a look around and you'll soon see what I mean. Take it from me with a 100% guarantee: this is a related site and Abrams' contention to Aint it Cool that nobody had discovered it is, at best, out of date.

Bit obvious, but could this be a remake of The Host? I only really say this because you mentioned sea monster and pollution.

I was researching Google combining some of the things I saw in the trailer, in the backgrounds and on the fridge in their kitchen...

Search for "mystery street AKM" (mystery st - on the fridge twice and AKM - hanging on the wall, like a Fraternity sign by all the hats) and click on the second link, its a PDF file speaking of the Aeons of Maat and other documents ranging from the Egyptians and other religious writings (i.e. Tree of Life, and End of the World stuff). On Page 14 of 43 the document talks about a creature referencing a book on Cthulhu...

Maybe this is the Lovecraft, JJ Abrams movie, "Cthulhu" after all.

Wikipedia search gives info on Cthulhu as a representation of pure evil, destruction and chaos given many different names and forms, and is sometimes preceded with "dead" as in "Dead Cthulhu" and in the last shot showing the statue of Liberty's head you see DEAD written on the back of the street sign...

Just some things I noticed...I could be completely wrong...could be a "Host" like remake movie.

No, Universal owns the U.S. remake rights to The Host.

As far as Ethan Haas goes, IT IS CONNECTED. Mark my words.

More to follow.

how can that be so, if JJ said it wasn't...via AICN? I doubt it's connected.

If you were so sure, you wouldn't be anonymous...

OK, so here's how it goes. If the Ethan Haas videos had nothing to with the Cloverfield project, then the only reason for Paramount to be upset, would be the comments to said videos, linking to bootlegged copies of the Cloverfield project trailer.

If that was the case, YouTube would promptly remove all said COMMENTS, and NOT the irrelevant to Par's copyrights Haas videos.

However, YouTube removed the whole thing. So unless Haas is another secret Par project no one knows anything about, Haas is a secret Par project everyone knows not a whole lot about. (That's the Cloverfield project. I think. Wait, I got lost. Hm...)

Anyway, yeah, I was thinking of the Host remake too, but as anonymous said, Uni owns it, so unless there was a top secret auction, I guess that's another stillborn theory.

Oh yeah, and another thing. JJ? Not a very trustworthy source. Remember the Lost Experience?

Japan, sea-monster, pollution. Are you edging towards the Godzilla reading doing the rounds?

Not literally Godzilla, no.
