Direct Download Link For The Comic-Con Beowulf Teaser

This is seriously fascinating stuff. The Comic-Con trailer for Beowulf is now available in 720p Quicktime and crummy old FLV.

A lot of bad Beowulf news surfaced recently and none of the footage so far released lived up to my expectations - in CG terms at least - but I'm still hopeful that this will indeed be a great, great film.

Would you like to share that 'bad news' with us?

I'd been sharing the Beowulf news as it came up. Here's the most alarming bit:

What the hell is the "bad news"? That it will be rated PG-13?

This constitutes as "alot" of bad news? jeez- you need to get more...

I could care less if it is G, PG, PG-13, R or NC-17 but when the script is definitely R material and the film is 'adpated', then well, something's wrong. Make the script you are making, don't change bits and pieces of it for commercial reasons. That doesn't lead to a script with integrity.

And funny coloured blood? What is this, a videogame?

And then the whole hide-the-sausage business, the Austin Powers-like compositions. This is bound to look a little forced at best, downright silly at worst.

The other bad news, really, is that many, many people to see the 20 minute preview didn't like it. At all. But I don't want to dwell on that.
