Movie Minesweeper - The Popular Bits of Shrek 2 Edition

Abbie Cornish, Bond, Hulk, Ricky Gervais, Blade Runner, Jack Black, The Lost Adventures of Stone Perlmutter Jr., Wall-E, I Am Legend, Guillermo Del Toro, more Hostel on DVD, Pixar Shorts.

- Rose Byrne would have us believe Abbie Cornish has been cast in the next Bond film. We've heard this story before - is this confirmation?

- The Movie Blog have a man on the Hulk set, and he's posting pics online. Can't be long until he's booted, can it? Most interesting snap might be the security badge, complete with 'Hulk smash' logo.

- Ricky Gervais has denied any involvement with Early Retirement. He admits he was approached, but denies agreeing.

- Ridley Scott would like to make a Blade Runner sequel. I'd like Ridley Scott to make a Blade Runner sequel. But was he kidding when he asked his Comic-Con audience to send in scripts? I'd sincerely hope so.

- An Indiana Jones pastiche with Jack Black? In a mock documentary style? All I can manage is a quizzical frown - but inside, I'm hopeful about The Lost Adventures of Stone Perlmutter Jr.

- There's just a little more of Wall-E to see on JoBlo.

- Mark Protosevich has already pitched a sequel to I Am Legend.

- Guillermo Del Toro is producing a remake of The Changeling.

- It seems that the R1 Hostel SE DVD has the edge on the UK R2 simply through the inclusion of 10 deleted scenes.

- The specs of the Pixar Shorts DVD are out.

THE CHANGELING is also the title of Eastwood's new film with Angelina Jolie, written by Joe Strzynski.

Who do you think will change their title?

There's been a couple of BLADE RUNNER sequel novels by K.W. Jeter. I read the first during a rather boring stint on a mobile library a few years ago. It wasn't great, and seemed to be mainly concerned with ironing out the gifferences between the novel and the film, which of course, should be utterly irrelevant to Ridley Scott.
