Point Break Live!

Point Break Live! is an "absurdist stage adaptation", a "sensationally idiotic" "Brechtian Blockbuster" adapted from Kathryn Bigelow's 1992 Buddy-actioner, and it opened this past Thursday at the La Tea Theater, Lower Manhattan.

Every night, the same Patrick Swayze, but every night, a new Keanu Reeves plucked from the audience. If you can make it there within the five week engagement and lay down your $20 for a ticket, maybe you can make like Danny Butterman and step into the skydivin', surfin' shoes of Johnny Utah.

No news yet if the two leads on premiere night were beheaded in a faked up, skidmarks free traffic accid... incident.

The Hott Fuzztival

If you want to see Hot Fuzz slightly before most folk (but a long time before the US) and would like an added Q&A with Simon, Edgar and other associated Fuzz folk, then the ICA are your new best friend.

There's also a two-week Hot Fuzztival on the cards, in which a number of big action films and cop thrillers will be paraded across the ICA's humble screens, including a Point Break and Bad Boys 2 double bill - and as a 'special' attraction, this season will also include a Tony Scott Q&A.
