Stephen Chow Makes His Next Move Official

This is apparently confirmable news from a confirmed source. Monkeypeaches reported it first, and Aint It Cool followed soon after.

Stephen Chow has postponed his sequel to Kung Fu Hustle in order to polish the story, and in the meantime, he has a new project on the boil. N o surprise, but this one will be his previously touted "astronaut movie" - in which he plays a space explorer who falls in love with an alien girl.

The new reports claim that there will be a lot of kids in the film - perhaps her alien offspring? And perhaps Chow's character fathers them? You know what these aliens are like - short gestation periods and rapid growth. This is all wild speculation, of course. It should be a while before many more details are known.

But however the cookie crumbles, I'm in. Stephen Chow is, without a doubt, one of the finest filmmakers in the world today.
