Crank

After Speed on a bus, a boat, an ice-cream van and a milk float comes Speed on...

...two legs.

The premise behind Crank is simple, stupid and potentially brilliant. A hit-man, played by Jason Statham has been injected with a toxin that will kill him if he doesn't keep his adrenaline levels up. So, as he goes about his just and vengeful mission, he has to keep, I dunno, running on the spot, punching walls and watching the best bits of Alien over and over and over.

With improper marketing a concept this daft could have come somewhat closer to that Snakes on a Plane level of anticipation.

The creators of Crank are Brian Taylor and Mark Neveldine, first time writer-directors with, collectively, a history of stunt work, post-production effects trickery, cinematography and even a bit of acting. You could have guessed most of that from looking at the trailer. Just not the acting bit.

Saw a CRANK exclusive clip @Comic-con. It's looks unbelievable. Statham kicks major azz. The violence is so real and the crashes look explosive. There is supposedly a crazy helicopter fight in the end, but they didn't give it away. I can't wait to see it!!!!
