George Romero's Solitary Isle

The trades have let the cat out of the bag: George Romero is to begin work on Solitary Isle, from a short story by Koji Suzuki. Previously, his stories have been adapted as Ringu and Dark Water which gives Romero a pretty clear shot at being "the best yet".

The synopsis is rather King Kong-ish, but without the showbiz or the giant ape.

I assume this puts Canada of the Dead on the back burner.
