What? Terry Gilliam? A Surprising Next Project? Again?

Contact Music have run a story alleging that Terry Gilliam's next project will be...

- hang on a minute. There's another new next project for Terry Gilliam? Blimey. Okay. Ahem. Back to business...

...will be Water Music, from T C Boyle's book about Mungo Park, 19th Century Explorer who discovered the Niger. They allege that Michael Palin is to collaborate.

Of course, they're a little off the mark.

They've taken the story from - and even directly quote - an interview with Gilliam on Phil Stubbs' Dreams website. Reading the full interview it will become very clear that Water Music isn't anywhere near production at all. There's no script - nor even any particular plans to write one.

Maybe, one day, Gilliam and Palin will come together to bring Mungo's roving to the screen, but I'm as sure as I can be that it's not going to be any day soon.
