Singer Signed

Variety have now confirmed the inking of Bryan Singer's deal to direct and produce the next Superman movie. There's a reportedly a couple of restrictions - namely less spend, more action.

I don't mind the 'less spend' bit but 'more action' sounds like they're telling Singer what his film should be. Villains.

Having said that, I think that - in his generation, at least - Singer is rivalled only by Guillermo del Toro and Quentin Tarantino as an action director, and that bound to film with plenty of crash-bang-wallop he's certainly going to deliver - and without selling out the characterisation, narrative or ideas.

I thought Supes was a good movie, but the real cost is supposedly $400M.

I would've thought he could fit in ONE fight for that over-blown budget.
