George Clooney For President

Stephen Frears seems to think george Clooney would make a good Top Dog Big Nob of the United States. Frears has been quoted as saying "He'd make a great president. George is straightforward and in touch with the people."

George doesn't agree. His take on things?

"I'd be a terrible candidate. I have absolutely no patience for compromise. The job I have now is the best in the world."

Has Frears simply got an ulterior motive? Does he want to give a US President-focussed 'sequel' to The Deal (about Tony Blair and Gordon Brown) and The Queen (about Tony Blair and... er... the Queen) a rocket powered shot of star power by casting the big man as himself?
