Nightmare Defective?

Twitch are reporting that those dastardly Weinsteins have picked up the North American, UK and Australian distribution rights to Nightmare Detective, Shinya Tsukamoto's newie. They also suggest that the film may some indiginties or delays as a result of this deal - which, of course, is the consensus opinion on the Weinsteins, particularly in regard to films from Asia. Once upon a time, I may have worried about this too, but since the launch of their Dragon Dynasty label, the brothers grimm appear have to put barely a toe, let alone a foot, out of line in their handling of Eastern imports. All they need to sort out now, to make me happy at least, is their daft policy of renaming films - Sha Po Lang's transformation into Killzone being a case in point.
