Guess Who Has Shown Up In Gotham Now

I've had most parts of this news corroborated by a few voices, so I'm happy to report it all in good faith. Be wary of spoilers from the very next sentence onwards.

So, not only are more and more people telling me that Anthony Michael Hall is playing Edward Nygma in The Dark Knight, as we discussed before, I've now recieved a report of scenes filmed with Aaron Eckhart...

...drumroll please...

...in Two Face makeup. Yep - Two Face is in the Dark Knight too.

Here's the description of the make-up:

55/40. Scarring across the nose just a tad bit. One of his eye is deformed. And little bubbles across the scarring (They're manips that look similar). Wicked cool.

55/40? What's the remaining 5?

The scene may or may not have involved Two Face shooting Flass, the corrupt cop from Batman Begins. That's one person's version of events, and I'm okay with that.

[EDIT: And for those you of you who think this news piece is simply announcing Eckhart's casting, why not actually read it? There's been plenty of comments to that end, but I rejected them. The news here isn't Eckhart. The news is that he's in Two Face make-up - that is to say, Dent gets Two Faced in this film]

Well, the virals made it pretty clear that the Joker was targeting Harvey Dent in the movie, presumably setting up Two Face as the villain in ep3. I'll guess that the (courtroom?) scarring incident happens late in ep2, and this Two Face scene could be an epilogue of sorts.

Before you were asserting that you had inside sources confirming that Hall was playing some wannabe vigilante remember?

Seems pretty packed. I wonder about the Joker's role in all this. perhaps the Joker goes the way of the parody Jingle Bells song and gets away. Seems the rumors say that the "Batmobile loses a wheel." I don't know if Batman smells, and I have yet to hear that Robin lays an egg.

It's a question of numbers: a couple of people backed up the wannabe vigilante story early in production, (presumably using script and storyboards and other pre-production elements as their evidence); now, many more than two people have claimed that he's Nygma. I'm wondering if something has been shot or some other "deal sealer" has been seen on set.

Or maybe he just talked at some point, I don't know.

Man... I am so happy hear about all these villians. If we have learned anything from the last two decades of superhero films, its that the more villians you have the better the movie will be!

Big speculation here...but I wouldn't worry about too many villlains being in the movie. Nygma will most likely play the "Calendar Man" role in BATMAN:THE LONG HALLOWEEN where Bats seeks advice or a profile from someone familiar with the Joker (assuming they were Arkham inmates together). Two Face will obviously show up at the end of the movie to set up the third. Scarecrow's role and that of the mobsters showing up may be minor (with the exception of Maroni) -- there to maybe show how the Gotham underworld has gone to the pits since Falcone is no longer in the picture. So I wouldn't worry about overcrowding. I trust that Nolan will be able to balance all these characters in what looks to be a seriously epic movie.

I wouldn't be worried. Think of how many villains were in Begins... Scarecrow, Ras, Falcone, Zaz, Other Ras (i.e. Ubu) and Flass.

That's 6. They all fit however, because most were minor, but still important to the story. Trust Nolan to pull it off.

After the masterpiece that is Batman Begins, I have complete faith that Mr. Nolan will be able to deliver a solid sequel. I actually like the way that there were so many villains in Begins. Unlike Spiderman 3, the number of villains in Nolan's Batman series seems to help rather than hinder the work. As long as there aren't any cliched villain "Let's get Batman!" team-ups, I'm sure that the film will be perfect.

No one will play a better Joker than Jack!!!

Robin Williams will be good, but JACK is better!!!

Catwoman would be good too, Angelina would be good for it cuz shes sexy and she can pull it off or Jessica Alba is good too.....

The Riddler is a good choice to, but Jim Carrey is the best choice.....or maybe Edward Norton will do good...

Two-Face is good too, but i dunno who would play him....any ideas

Whoever made the last post is an idiot. Jack Nickelson did good as the joker, but he didn't fit the part. The joker is slim and tall, not short and chubby. Jack's personality fit, but not his look.

Jim Carrey sucked as the Riddler. He way overacted it, and turned the movie into one giant cartoon.

Saying Robin Williams should play joker, is like saying that Arnold Schwarzenegger was an awesome Mr. Freeze!

Read up man! They've already cast all these roles.

P.S. To those who are avid Batman fans...why is Harvey Dent played by a black man in Batman (1)? He's played by the guy who played Lando Calrizian in Star Wars. Then, they have Tommy Lee Jones (a white old dude!!) play him as two face in Batman 3 (Forever). What the hell? Schumacher is obviously color blind...

Becouse The Schumacher films do not follow on from the Burton films. Burton originaly planned a three film journey for The Two-Face character. First he is intorduced as the Swarve DA in Batman.. Then in the original outline for the second film he would have taken the place of the Max Shreck role, which would make more sence of the characters abilities just how did a department store owner get so much power a DA in that position makes more sence.. at the end of the film the catwoman would ahve only scared Dent instead of fried Shreck thus creating Two-Face of Burtons third film.. somewhere along the line this changed the producers didnt like Returns and "fired" burton frm the third film by promoting him out of the directors seat. It has nothing to do with Schumacher's coloUr blindness and everything to do with it being his film and him not wanting to make a sequel to burotn and the first film in his series. He even auditioned new people for alfred and gordon but relented when he Excec producer (tim burton) asked for there return.

This is the deal... The Joker is the bad guy. If any even read the comics anymore or did one of the inspirations is batman year one by frank miller so batman recieved help from harvey dent distict attorney. Harvey dent wanted get rid of crime. He had issues so when he had acid poured on his face that was just he tipping point. so he might just get turned into two face in the court room by the joker at the end of this movie. I don't know how scarecrow is involved but he nolan know his shit and is staying pretty close to continuity. There will be and can't be no jean paul? that is the stuipiest crap i've heard? Maybe he is just another bad guy or hinchmen for the joker. PLease do you self a favor and pick up year one and the long halloween and the dark knight returns and the killing joke. The mistake that burton made when making the batman 1989 was it wasn't a batman movie it was a joker movie and i give nolan more credit then burton... and that harvey dent was black but hey if it works... thanks for your time.

It's funny you mention The Killing Joke and the Long Halloween, and then say Burton's mistake was making a movie about joker, as both those stories were more about Joker than Batman. Let's face it, the only thing that makes Batman a likable personality is his rivalry with the Joker. Batman on his own is dull. The big issue here is that there is a Joker without ever having met Batman...

The information regarding AMH as Edward Nygma is false. It's a a shame loads of people are assuming him to be that character.

Why's it a shame? And how do you know it ot be false?
