A Small Tribute To Laszlo Kovacs

I don't know what to say about Laszlo Kovacs death, I'm afraid, but here, instead, are some screen captures from Targets - his first collaboration with Peter Bogdanovich, and a testament to their tenacity, wit, economy and hard graft. Hopefully, these images will encourage you to seek the film out as soon as you can - it's a really great, great one and frighteningly undervalued.

Okay, so it's not Kovacs' prettiest film, maybe, but then, that's half of my point.

Oh - and these are not strictly in narrative order, and only come from the first half of the film, so nothing 'much' has been 'spoiled' for you.

Goodbye, Lazlo. Thanks for the good work.

Seeing that movie on MOVIEDROME was a pretty formative experience.
