Here's David Waldon's latest rocket, shot off from the swinging hip:

Tony Scott will direct the season premiere of NUMB3RS, giving the show a new look in the process.

The Cold Case season premiere will be based on the music of Nirvana.

There will be a CSI - Without a Trace crossover this season, with William Petersen and Anthony LaPaglia appearing on each other's series on the same night.

CSI:NY will have an episode based in the Second Life online world.

No word on who will replace Mandy Patinkin on Criminal Minds.

Drew Carey in talks to replace Bob Barker on The Price Is Right, though nothing is close to being finalized.
