Rolf de Heer's latest is Dr. Plonk, a social satire about the apocalypse which has been staged and shot like a silent-era comedy.

I like de Heer a lot. He's always trying, reaching, searching. He's very often falling short, failing, making mistakes too - but that's no surprise, really, when you see how ambitious he can be.

Download the trailer for Dr. Plonk and show it to your friends. At the very least this is a genuine cult film straight out of the gate, I'm sure.
