Channel Five have signed a contract to screen Australian soap Neighbours in the UK, snatching it from BBC One. The amazing part is that, over the full eight years of the agreement, they'll have to shell out around 300 million quid.

Little Britain's Lou and Andy will be appearing in Neighbours, and the Aussie soap's official site have revealed the circumstances of the special episode. You may know the characters Toadie, Steph and Pepper and the location of the Scarlet Bar, but if you don't, the news will mean little to you.
The episode will play in Australia in June, in the UK in September.
