Newport Beach Film Festival Screens Fanmade Remake Of Raiders Of The Lost Ark

Any chance that three kids with lumpy, domestic VHS camcorders could have made a better version of Raiders of the Lost Ark than Spielberg did?

Next Monday, visitors to the Newport Beach Film Festival can find out for sure. My money is on the kids' film at least being less perfunctory, more heartfelt and always eminently watchable.

The director, editor and producer of this film - made over seven years in the 80s - will be in attendance, so you can pop along and ask them what they know about Son of Rambo.

The genuine highlight of the Festival is a special Henson puppet/muppet celebration, and rare screening of The Muppet Musicians of Bremen.
