Dark Horse Projects

A nice little profile of Dark Horse comics has appeared on the website of the Florence, Alabama Times Daily.

There's not much new news on there - that I can see, anyway - but a latter part of the article does focus on Dark Horse as movie producers. They mention
Alien vs. Predator, Dr. Giggles, The Mask... and this is also where they seem to suggest John Landis' ghosthouse thriller Gone is still a go, even though we've heard little about it for months on end and Landis himself has recently named Bat Boy as his next project.

Personally, I think Gone has much, much more potential to Bat Boy, so I hope the Florence, Alabama Times Daily knows something the rest of us don't.

Dark Horse are also behind My Name is Bruce, the Evil Dead non-sequel in which (star and director) Bruce Campbell plays himself as a monster killer. Solid gold cult in the making? Maybe - but The Man with the Screaming Brain suggests Campbell has some way to go as a director.

I think Dark Horse have solicited a biography (non-comics, natch) of Landis for a couple of months hence.
