Frankenstein's navigator in the Death Race rehash is being cast with Natalie Martinez in final negotiations to secure the role.

As more details of this film are revealed, the differences are coming into focus. It seems that the competitiors are prisoners, that the race takes place in an enclosed arena and that Jason Statham's Frankenstein makes an escape attempt. No doubt, the Race focus now shifts - this will be a real chase, and he'll have the authorities on his tail as he speeds away. I'd like to see an attempt on the Blues Brothers' chase-and-crash world records, but I don't think we'll be so lucky at all.

The original Death Race is a bonafide gem and if you haven't seen it but like chase films, pitch black satire or driving the wrong way down a very busy road, then you should definitely buy a copy.
